"Art is the first stroke of paint," Kawayan de Guia told Joey Cobcobo three years ago. This idea evaded Cobcobo as he creates One Of. This idea was with the belief that the repetition of art will lead to mastery or craft. Such as his familiarity with printmaking that has allowed him to apply the practice with other media such as painting. With the exhibition, Cobcobo wants to "make art and avoid repeating it." He underlines the difference of his artmaking process as his works are not defined by the process by how his life and experiences are slowly being imbued to each artwork the longer it stays with him.
