In Understanding Moore's Law and Challenging Its Limitations

In 1965, Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore hypothesized that transistors on a microchip double every two years, all while the cost of computers is halved. This is then called Moore's Law. More than half a century later, we still find this prediction to carry with both destructive impacts and beneficial growth. In Double, Double, Moore in Trouble, 49 artists come together to see how Moore's Law has affected personal, social, political, natural, and historical aspects of our lives. Challenging a 6 x 6-inch or a 6 x 6 x 6-inch parameter, the artists share their visions on computer microminiaturization that is said to end in a few year's time. What happens after the law ends? What future awaits us and what are the consequences we must face for these innovations?
