Jeffrey Jay Jarin (b. 1992) is a full time artist based in Manila, Philippines. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, major in Advertising from the Technological University of the Philippines in 2013.
Jarin’s works tackle the mundane, day-to-day symbiosis between living and non-living things, which often go unnoticed.
Using plants and architectural spaces as main subjects in his works, Jarin explores the relationship of humans with the spaces we move around in, and the stories enveloped within.
From a wistful ray of sunlight on a small, isolated balcony, to playful compositions filled with bold striking colors — Jarin takes us on scenic and imaginative journeys (perhaps the artist’s own) through his paintings.
His works are poetic narrations on the mutualism of things; an invitation to the viewer to explore his own personal narratives of hope, grit and endless persistence.
Since 2014, Jarin has been exhibiting all over Metro Manila. His works have been featured in various publications like CNN Life PH, Esquire Magazine, Art+ Magazine, Spot.ph, and Cartellino.
