Growing up, the industrial compound in which the artist lives became her childhood playground. Having immersed herself in the everyday activities in their factory, she continues to witness how the different stages in creating a product came to be. From sacks of raw material being delivered, the storing of the finished products all the way to the shipment to different establishments. The works are rendered in a colorful palette giving the image a twist of the familiar surroundings of the artist’s background.
Julieanne Ng is a multi-disciplinary artist from Valenzuela city. Her works focuses on the everyday activities in her neighborhood such as making use of ready made and found object. She graduated Magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with the degree in Fine Arts majoring in Painting(2017). In 2018, she was a semi-finalist in the Metrobank Arts and Design Competition (MADE). She had her 1st Solo exhibition at Pablo Gallery at the Fort last 2019. This year she participated in the 2021 GSIS competition. She’s currently active in participating in different exhibits in the Philippines.
