Haegue Yang Transcends Time In "When The Year 2000 Comes"

In the year 2000, a new millennia was declared and everyone were both in past and future at once. Haegue Yang’s “When The Year 2000” reminds its audience of the temporal hopes of the past. Greeted by the song “AD 2000” by Korean singer Hae-Kyung Min, visitors are welcomed to the future we now live today. Yang’s experimental play on the concept allows that of her works to touch not only the cultural but also its analytical constructs.
