"Pamilihan ng Damit" is one of the artist's artworks for her kidlit series with scenes from Spanish-era Philippines. All characters' bodies and faces were made from used grocery brown bags to remind the viewer of the actual skin tones of the Filipinos. The clothes design was inspired by "Tipos del País" watercolor illustrations of Damián Domingo, a Chinese Filipino painter. The clothes were made from different reused materials - some are from turon wrappers, journal paper, and tracing paper. While some of the details and plants were cut with craft punchers. The artist also wanted to express how different and still a bit similar the ways of selling in the Philippines are.
